Joseph A. Motta graduated from St. Mary’s College and McGeorge School of Law. Joe got his legal start and developed his significant trial skills as a Deputy District Attorney in Contra Costa County, where he prosecuted thousands of cases including felonies, sexual assaults, domestic violence, and homicides. Whatever the crime, from sexual assault to domestic violence to homicide, Joe always maintained a sensitivity to the victims and finding justice for them has always been at the forefront of his endeavors.
While most trial attorneys have only done a handful of jury trials, Joe spent most of his career helping victims of crime. Joe was known to be a hard fighting prosecutor who went beyond the call of duty trying to help, protect and seek justice for his injured victims.
Joe joined Greg Rueb, who he had worked with in the prosecutor’s office, in January 2004 to start their own firm focusing on helping injured clients. They found that their shared desire to right the wrongs for victims created a perfect fit. They now have offices throughout the State of California. Joe’s considerable skill in the courtroom and involvement with victims of crime has provided him with a unique perspective and sensitivity to victims, clearly benefitting his clients whose serious injuries have often been the result of the carelessness of others.
With the association of Medical Doctor Greg Vigna, who is also an attorney, clients who have suffered catastrophic injury now have the benefit of an experienced and knowledgeable team of professionals that can help them navigate the confusing waters of the court system. Our team has seen firsthand the negative impacts the medical and judicial systems can leave on our clients, which motivates us to fight every day to get every client a just and equitable recovery so they can put their lives back in order.
