Greg D. Rueb was born in 1966 in Anchorage Alaska. One of life’s pivotal moments for Greg occurred when his mother became one of the first patients to successfully undergo an open-heart surgery procedure when he was just two years old. His formative years were spent growing up in Martinez Ca, were he excelled academically and distinguished himself in music and sports.
Motivated by his mother’s health and medical issues, along with the influence of his high school science teachers, Greg initially felt the calling to study medicine. Towards that end Greg spent summers working in some very prominent San Francisco area hospitals in a major trauma unit, ER and an operating room. He graduated with a BS in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of the Pacific. The medical knowledge gained as a result of these experiences has helped contribute to his success as an attorney.
Because of his commitment to community service, Greg altered his career path and attended the McGeorge School of Law where he received his law degree. He began his career as a lawyer prosecuting criminals and honing his trial craft as Deputy DA for Contra Costa County. He later turned that valuable trial experience to private practice, primarily focusing his expertise on personal injury, criminal defense and wrongful death, first as an associate and later as a partner in the firm.
In 2003, Greg ventured out on his own and joining forces with Joe Motta, established his firm: Rueb & Motta. In over two decades of practice, Greg has tried more than 74 jury trials, losing just one case. His efforts have resulted in recoveries in excess of $25 million for his clients and he has literally handled thousands of serious injury and wrongful death cases on behalf of those whose lives have been turned upside down by the negligence of others.
Greg is a battle-seasoned veteran with an outstanding record of success and a personal drive to help others and make a difference in this world. These two attributes can be among the most important when you are negotiating with major corporations or Big Insurance. Greg is able to settle nearly 95% of his cases rather than go to trial because these companies take his record seriously and they know he is prepared to take every case to trial.
